Gain an understanding of the LAA, its mission, vision, and activities
Members are either on the Steering Committee or the Action Committee. The Steering Committee makes high level decisions including budget approvals and partnerships. Everyone else is a member of the Action Committee.
The Action Committee has monthly meetings-of-the-whole where all sub-committees come together to share the work they have been doing and to ask questions or discuss full group actions. The majority of the work occurs in the Action Committee sub-committees. Everyone on the Action Committee is expected to actively participate in at least one sub-committee. If active participation is not possible, the member should seek or request a replacement from their consortial lead.
The LAA is dedicated to accessibility action, which requires its active members to fully participate beyond meeting attendance.
